The Oldham County community is both established and growing. It is a unique part of the Bluegrass Region in Kentucky. We have a history of more than 200 years and within our community you will find horse farms and mile after mile of gently rolling hills. While driving along, you will find where magnificent thoroughbred horses are bred and trained. We have arts and culture and we have antique treasures waiting to be found. You can stop in on a local festival for some fun and you will find an adventure waiting around every corner of our wonderful county. Many people find Oldham County as a perfect suburb of Louisville, close to the city and a wonderful place to raise a family and live!

Our award winning school district consists of twenty educational facilities, a preschool, nine elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, an alternative school, a career center and a center for the arts/community education. Oldham County offers many opportunities for youth and adults to stay active. For teens and youth check out the basketball competitions, day camps, nature camps, tennis lessons, golf clinics and more.Learn more through Oldham County.net.

Adults aren't left out! Join a swing dancing class, become a part of the softball/tennis/volleyball leagues, take ballroom dancing lessons...all offered through the Parks and Recreation Dept.
